I have lived in Albany all my life, I have spent many years and good times at the bars and restaurants on Lark Street including Lark Tavern. Then it burned down, so this was my fist visit since the re-opening. I had a Blue Moon it was good but how do you mess up a beer. My friend had a long Island Ice Tea which she took 3 sips from and did not finish because it was all liquor and ice not mixed well at all. Then the food it was horrible. The food used to be great there. We had crispy fries that were so soggy that we left almost the whole basket and on the menu they are listed as crispy fries. The nachos had that cheap cheese from the can on it. The meat topping was just that. They reminded me of nachos you would get from Taco Bell..GROSS! and last but not least the wings. Over priced $9 for 8 wings! and the sauce they were in was so salty that I had one and my friend had just a bite of one. Don't waste your good money on bad, food that tasted no better then Applebee's or Taco Bell.
Pros:It was empty so we had the place all to ourselves. On a Friday at 5:15pm. Strange a bar on Lark empty on a Friday during happy hour...hummm that should have been my first tip.Cons:Well, I think I listed all of them, except that the menu stated that Mon-Fri from 4pm-7pm appetizer's were half off. When we got the bill we were charged full price for the wings. When we asked the waitress about it she looked at the bill and said "oh the wings are not included in that". Even though they are listed under the appetizer's I was like oh okay. They should state that kind of information on the menu.
